Our Story
We're investing billions in new infrastructure, but who will own it? Allie and Sonia want more of that wealth to stay with local people, and we want to show that there's already a way to do it.
This short documentary follows Allie and Sonia to northern Ontario, where a cooperatively owned solar farm has been quietly sending power to the grid for more than a decade. The film asks: what changes when communities don’t just host energy projects, but they also own them?
It’s about solar, yes. But also local wealth, rural communities, and who gets a stake in the infrastructure shaping our future.
